cream cheese, sprinkle of blueberries, granola, and raw honey.
(so so good)
It's been a bit quieter than usual over here. This whole 'being sick' thing kind of just popped out of no where and I was far from prepared. (Sorry, bout that). Yesterday was my first time out of the house since Saturday (Sunday for M)... thats a fair amount of time! We had a lot of fun, but maybe I should just forced myself to stay home another day. I did feel for little M though, always pushing "I want to go outside. Zoo? Park? Beach?" Well, I planned a little beach picnic, it was nice, just could have maybe been a little better if it had been planned for a slightly warmer day :) I now know that snow visits up north will not only be declined because of my need for warmth, but Marlowes too. Poor girl little had pants, a tank top, long sleeves, a beanie, a sweater, and was still looking for extra warmth. As long as my top is warm, I'm good... my thicker legs can handle 15 degree weather, without suffering too much, but a cold chest? I cry (not really, but you know...) We didn't last super long, packed up per M's request, and headed to a farm to see animals, it was a bit warmer out west, without that cool ocean breeze :) We'll be warm weather Florida girls forever.
On The Menu:
fruit, lots of it. blueberries, strawberries, bananas, apples
sourdough
yogurt (we like vanilla coconut yogurt)
granola (the wheat-free unsweetened kind)
raw honey (helps with colds, right?)
mimosas (what else does one do with all the extra sparkle party extras?)
cream cheese, sprinkle of blueberries, granola, and raw honey.
Thank you so incredibly much for all your kind words, comments, emails. The love you guys share is truly inspiring. Some of the emails seriously made me a bit teary-eyed :) Thank you. It's just another reminder to how amazing this little community can be. Yeah, there can be a few (unnecessary) bads, but the goods? Pft. They outweigh them by 1000% Thank you friends, for giving me an extra reason to smile this 28th year :)
Have a wonderful weekend :)

Beautiful photos. Your little girl is getting so tall. :)
ReplyDeletethank you! I know.. you can see in her little feet how big she's getting! eep.
DeleteWhat a nice outing! I can't wait until the weather gets warmer! I live in the WPB area too and recently discovered your blog. I also recently started eating vegetarian so I love the food ideas you have. :) BTW, what brand is the vanilla coconut yogurt? Love coconut!
ReplyDeleteI feel like the time change is helping the days get a little warmer, but I know it's in my head. I forget the brand I get, I had to get soy yogurt last time, they were out. But it's the only coconut milk yogurt they sell in the larger container (at whole foods). :)

DeleteIt's certainly been a little colder here than usual - I thought the cold front would have went away by now. In any case, looks like you had a great day with your little family and you just gave me the idea of a beach picnic for a fun little date with my hubby. Have a great weekend ahead :)
ReplyDeleteRight? I feel like it got warm again for a day and then got chilly again. I feel like it kills your body to go through the ups and downs. Beach picnics are great. Especially when the little ones can't go in the water... keeps the mess and the work down. :)
Deletewhat are those rad cups? i love.
ReplyDeletejust another thrift find. girl with open hand "oh you know" emoji... or something.
DeleteI love how you have the beach, a zoo, a park, and a farm all accessible to you! To me, that is beyond wonderful!!! Living in the north, we have to plan all of out outings from May-Sept (Oct if we are lucky), and most things like that are hours away. It must be so nice to access to these things! What a lovely post! I love Florida too! All of my family is there, and we hope to be in the next year and a half when my husband is done school. :)
ReplyDeleteIf it makes you feel better.... there were no cows at the farm :) it was more of a chicken place... with a pig, horse, and goat :)
DeleteYou guys are the sweetest family. :)

DeleteDrea! Her ponytail! I'm dying over here. And I know I've officially converted to a Florida girl when I consider temps in the 60`s as cold!
ReplyDeleteyou're in north florida... it's like a totally different state.
DeleteAlso, when I mention Adoration, Marlowe still says "yah! hold her hand!"
What a beautiful family day! Alex reminds me of Zachary Quinto :-) ... Marlowe is gorgeous!

I have always lived with cold winters (near Toronto) and I still can't stand the cold. But I hate strong heat too! Spring and fall are my seasons. ;) Beautiful pictures. I long to be at the beach.
